pay before you use the toilet
In some public places like beaches and recreational areas we can find public toilets. But to use it we are required to pay a sum of money usually with a number that is not too much, e.g IDR 2,000 or 1.000 depending on the policy of each site.
Is a good idea to always carry coins when you travel to various tourist spots in Bali. As I wrote above, sometimes public facilities such as toilets, or place of rinse requires us to pay before we are allowed to use it. There are also several facilities that are free but almost of them are in very bad condition and actually they are not feasible to use.
If you feel that it sounds ridiculous on your ears, let us think about it again. Some visitors, certainly not all, use the facility in a manner that is less good. Managers will spend so much money to fix it from year to year. Where do they get these funds? They may not charge a fee, but instead they will not repair the facilities when they damaged. Certainly it will hurt us as users. You can see in various places, the facilities that is free to use is not really feasible to be used again
