What is Bali Mangrove Forest?


Bali Mangrove Forest opened in May 2003, it serves as a center for the study and conservation of coastal mangrove forests in the area. The Bali Mangrove Forest is located in By Pass Ngurah Rai. About 5 km from Benoa’s Harbor to the west, less than 1 km from the statue of Dewa Ruci.

The mangrove forest is covers an area of 200 hectares, with an office in the center of this area. In addition, there are a lot of nurseries about 7,700 square feet of waterfront trails, huts to rest, floating bridges, and birds tower.

What you can see in Mangrove Forests Bali


Several things you can see in Bali Mangrove Forest according to their statistics are 13 types of mangrove large, 9 types of mangrove minors, 28 types of mangrove associates, 62 types of birds, 32 types of crustaceans, 10 types of reptiles.

All these species appear in the windows in the center of the mangrove. Sometime you may also see Lizards crossing the floating bridge, but do not afraid of them; they will not bite you unless you do something bad to them.

And another information for you, be ware if they ask you to pay more for bring a camera or take some pictures on there. Because there are no official notification from Bali Mangrove Forest that mention the visitors must pay to bring camera or take pictures inside.
